The Ubuntu version is part of the title:
"Getting Started with Ubuntu 10.04"

That's a reasonable suggestion. The downside is that given just the date
of the version you have at hands doesn't allow you to say how many
releases happened before. Then again, you would have an idea of how much
time passed, making it obviously more or less worthwhile to look for a
newer version.
