Yes I was aware of this script, and the problem of font kerning, too.
Because of the change in the title (it was changed in Launchpad, but
hasn't been pushed into the repository), and I was testing the
compilation, I made this titlepage myself ;-)

The notification mechanism, I think there's no way other than ask each
team for the confirmation of title/team name.
