ubuntu-manual team mailing list archive

Let's go for it!

To all,
Today I want to start with the preparations for the coming version of our manual, Xenial Xerus 16.04. Yes, I believe we can do it with the contributors we have so far, see list below [3].

I would like to ask all of you in the category authors/editors/reviewers to go to our shared spreadsheet [1], sheet Xenial 16.04, choose the chapters/sections you want to work on and add your name to these chapters/sections in the column Authors/editors. (You can download our latest manual from [4] to see which chapters/sections are to your liking.) As soon as we have enough chapters covered, I will send an email to this list with more detailed instructions, especially for those who are new to our team. If you have any questions, please send them to this list.

Kevin has already set up the new Xenial branch, see [2]. I made the xenial.pdf successfully on my PC. I will explain later how this works, but in the meantime you can have a look at the following pages with detailed information: see [4].
