Hi Sylvie,
Sorry for my interfering, but I did not quite understand this menu bar 
thing. When I open Files in Xenial, I see the menu bar at the top with 
the following drop-down menus: File Edit View Go Bookmarks Help.
Have I misunderstood your description in 16.04 below?
