[Bug 1357490] Re: Prevent login as same user on multiple seats by default
The existing convention is "only one session per user" so it should be
mandatory that you can't login on different seats at the same time.

Title:
Prevent login as same user on multiple seats by default
Status in Light Display Manager:
Triaged
Bug description:
It would be nice if LightDM has the capablity (mandatory or optional)
to prevent a same user from logging in on multiple seats.
We know it can be done system-wide by setting "maxlogins" to 1 in file
/etc/security/limits.conf, but this setting will affect not only
graphical logins, but also console and SSH logins. A proper solution
for graphical logins only is preferable.
