Re: Music app.

 

Yeah, MPD would only be used for playback, everything else would have to
be written from scratch (or taken). This would be kind of freeing though
and could be cool. One plus to using mpd is that you could kill the app
and the music would keep playing but could still be controlled by a
slimmed down interface accessed from the status bar. I'm not sure how
the status bar works, I've only been passively following UT here on the
mailing list, but if it works like android's when you pull the bar down,
there could be a section to control the music with cover art and basic
control buttons (if that makes sense). Just an idea.
