Correct. Canonical would need to seek permission but historically on
mobile platforms if any of those three brands have a app they develop
it in-house and stricly prohibit platforms from using their
brands/names to give a false sense of officialness to third-party apps
which is why all three outline that they absolutely do not allow the
usage of Trademarked names that the Ubuntu Phone project is currently
engaged in.
