Hey!

Two images today and one promotion today! How awesome can it be to promote image #13! People who are on the devel channel will start enjoying alarm and music playing even with the screen is off! We also discovered by some empiric measures that thanks to this Mir fix, the idling battery life greatly (really really hugely!) improved.

So, what came into those images?
#12:
- webapps AP tests fixes (and indeed, we have the tests not failing anymore with latest sdk!)
- a sync button is now added to the sync monitor toolbar

#13:
- Unity8 and notifications changes: enable zooming in images. Make snap decisions modal, enabling settings launcher counters, drop compatibility with Qt < 5.2.1 cleanup, change progress widget in previews to match design
- Allow custom override of the Touch lightdm config
- various webbrowser-app fixes

Automated test results were seeing the usual flaky tests and unity8 on stop crash. Filemanager was red (it has been renamed without any coordination, so the tests were not run) had to be fixed on the infrastructure side. However, there is still a flaky failure to look at there. The dogfooding didn't spot anything blocking this image, hence the promotion decision!

However, Dave found an important bug which isn't a regression from image #2 (the notification was inactive before), but the Qt fix created another annoying corner case. He will post on this ML with more details later on.

Meanwhile, on the known issues:
** New scopes performance needs to be improved (Kevin for unity8 and Thomas for unity-scopes-shell)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity8/+bug/1297197
-> A fix is under review: https://code.launchpad.net/~aacid/unity8/dynamic_specialized_cards/+merge/218089

** Networking problems related to double-default-routes (Mathieu)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1307981
-> The workaround seems to fix most of use case. It's landing as we speak and should be in image #14.

** Clock app crashes when trying to access a saved alarm (Thomas S.)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-clock-app/+bug/1309057
-> Should be now fixed, needs more dogfooding tests.

* Issues not impacting on the user experience:
** Unity8 crashing on stop for every tests (Kevin)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity-mir/+bug/1315251
The issue is in unity-mir. greyback will be on it once back from holidays.

** qtubuntu crash causing the dialer app to crash (only during tests) (Bill)
From Leo:
-> We still can't use upstart to launch the dialer. Thomi and Michael have landed a couple of branches on autopilot that improve things, but the bug that's affecting us I think is this one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity8/+bug/1305128. As soon as this is fixed, we will try again to land his branch: https://code.launchpad.net/~boiko/dialer-app/autopilot_upstart <https://code.launchpad.net/%7Eboiko/dialer-app/autopilot_upstart>

** Clock flaky test (Julien, Bill)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-clock-app/+bug/1307458
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-clock-app/+bug/1314533
Best strategy seems to autopilot to capture a screenshot on the phone when there is an error (tracked in https://bugs.launchpad.net/autopilot/+bug/1308762)

** Autopilot test flakyness in test_add_photo (Julien, Bill)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/gallery-app/+bug/1304950
-> A fix is available by Chris, need to be released. Bill can you handle this? https://code.launchpad.net/~chris.gagnon/gallery-app/autopilot-test-cleanup/+merge/216937

** Dialer-app flaky test (Julien, Bill):
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dialer-app/+bug/1307588

** Rss reader flaky test (Julien):
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-rssreader-app/+bug/1314531
-> This is fixed in trunk (and so, picked up). A better strategy for the tests needs to be addressed for long term though.

That's it for today! Enjoy your newly promoted image!
Cheers,
Didier
