Actually, that's not true. Starting an app causes the unity lock
screen/greeter to go away, and the test works just fine. So it seems
after all this is only relevant for testing Unity itself.

(and also, I'm happy that pretty much everything Just Works now, from
factory reset to running AP tests! ☺ )
