Other than bugs and usual considerations, my dad was surprised
that the calendar's icon has '28' on it instead of the actual
data.
I reported this a year ago: "Calendar icon usually shows the wrong
date" <http://launchpad.net/bugs/1362962>

I know this is a very low priority feature, but I wanted to
share with you the feedback.
It's low priority precisely because engineers think of it as a feature
request, rather than as a glaring mistake. (This is not a problem with
any individual engineer, it's a general trait.)

This is not unique to phones, my laptop (trusty) does the same
thing.
That is a problem in separate code, "Icon for calendar item usually
shows the wrong date" <http://launchpad.net/bugs/1362033>.
