Re: Torrent client for Ubuntu Phone

Yes. You either need to have a Transmission desktop client where remote access is enabled or Transmission server. Then the app lets you browse the torrents and see how they're progressing.

Seeing this discussion motivated me to clean up and upload some code I had sitting locally. My approach here is strictly a consumer of the JSON-RPC API which is pretty straight-forward.

I still need to add the bits needed to add and delete torrents.

 Hi all,
I've just bought an M10 Ubuntu Edition and I couldn't find any
 torrent
client for Ubuntu Phone in the store.

I would like to try and write one, but I don't want to duplicate
efforts, so I was wondering if there is already someone working on
 it.

If I go ahead, I was considering using/porting the core of
Transmission and make a qml interface for it, do you think it's a
viable option? I'm a developer but I'm new to Ubuntu Phone
 development.

(P.S. Is there any chance, even remote, to write Ubuntu Phone
applications in Rust? I would like to try the language :)
