Re: Voice call whit Skype (web) finnally work in Meizu MX4 - OTA-11

 

Voice and video call with services is fine for a start, but Ubuntu
should really make a difference and provide an integrated approach to
communication.

As a user you may only use a single service, such as Skype, but it's
probable that you also communicate with WhatsApp, Hangouts or Viber
(at least one of them in addition). Why not provide a plugin
infrastructure, so 3rd-party communication providers (like Skype,
Viber, WhatsApp, SIP providers in general, etc.) could integrate into
the phone's communication interface (phone app) natively?

I think we have discussed this idea in the past on this list. One
feature request somewhat related to this discussion is "Show contact
details from social accounts":

We should have another ticket to specify the integration of calling as
such. This one could be a start, "VoIP":
