Another development - a few months back - was the exposure being
taken from the focus point. At least it does this on my Mx4,
rc-proposed. Now this is good in some cases (although the
off-set from point of touch bug still is there), often it
complicates getting a good exposure, as you search out a
neutral spot for exposure.  And that might not be where you
want to focus.
