/var/log/syslog could contain useful information, please open a bug with
that if you can reproduce in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ofono .
However, we have not really changed anything in latest OTA that could
affect radio in that way. It looks more like a modem firmware bug.
