Message #00788
[Bug 1466478] [NEW] Mobile Data doesn't reconnect
Public bug reported:
Mobile Data only works for the first connection (for example after reboot).
Once the connection is lost once (bad signal or wifi-toggle) it will never (at least not within some hours) reconnect to mobile data.
Solution: Reboot phone
Informations about my phone:
Nexus 4
Mobile carrier: Aldi Talk (E-Plus)
Description: Ubuntu Wily Werewolf (development branch)
Release: 15.10
system-image-cli -i
http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/11735090/
apt-cache policy ofono
http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/11734960/
nmcli d
http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/11734858/
/usr/share/ofono/scripts/list-contexts
http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/11734830/
Strange thing:
The password has to be "gprs" according to my carrier.
Changed it by doing:
/usr/share/ofono/scripts/set-context-property 1 Password gprs
Checked list-contexts again and
Restarted networkmanager
-> same problem
/usr/share/ofono/scripts/list-modems
http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/11734827/
cat /var/log/syslog | grep Network (right after network-manager restart)
http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/11734836/
** Affects: ofono (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
