Done, put some text on the team page
<https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-l10n-is>, with
pointers to our translation guide and terminology
collections. Still don't know which mailing list we'll use.

It would be nice to add the team formally to the Ubuntu
Translators group.

PS: the links on the team page don't work as expected, due
to icelandic/accented characters; are there any special
wiki-style enclosures/tags for hyperlinks?
