Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu: Triaged
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
During the development cycle, when executing the installer the following text is shown on the first screen:
"This is a pre-release of the Ubuntu live CD installer. It is not a final release; that will come with the final release of Ubuntu 10.04 in April 2010.
The installation process may resize or erase partitions on your hard disk. Be sure to take a full backup of any valuable data before running this program."
This text comes from the ubiquity/debian/intro-alpha.txt text file and does not appear in the final release.
As the international community quite often installs the pre-release version to test translations or the whole release, it would make sense that translators can translate this text and users can see it in their language.
Thanks!
