I agree: on the schedule proposal I dropped Karmic from the exports
list, so that we've only got old stable, stable and development for
exports (lucid, maverick, natty).

I think what we could do as well, though, is when we drop a release from
exports, we do a final, one-off, copy to -proposed, call for testing and
upload to -updates. This way, even if the release is no longer actively
translated users can still get the benefit of message sharing, obtaining
new translations from the newer releases.

It sounds sensible to me, but let me ask on the translators list first.
As we still don't have PPA usage stats, I'm not sure how many people use
the results of those exports in the Lucid PPA.

Ok, thanks!

Launchpad folks: do you think you could set up the exports as per the
previous e-mail? This way the Maverick PPA can be set up and we could
aim for a first Maverick language pack soon after UDS. We can look at
changing the frequency of Lucid exports later on.
