[Bug 725116] [NEW] Garbled desktop LiveCD 11.04 alpha2 HP Nvidia 7150M

Booting 11.04 a2 LiveCD, not selecting any options. Final desktop screen garbled beyond any use. 
Similar problem when booting 10.10, but there the screen is somewhat readable and I can correct the problem by System, Preferences, Monitors, turn off "Monitor:Unknown", change resolution to 1280x800.
