Message #119413
[Bug 763001] [NEW] package fglrx (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1
Public bug reported:
When I downloaded a video driver from ATI.com, trying to get a java game
working, the driver made the re-drawing of windows and scrolling very
very slow. According to some website i had to delete everyting with ATI
in it when i searched in the ubuntu software center with the filter
"xorg-server". So i did, but then ubuntu crashed. I ran the recovery
mode, that got my X fixed. But when i tried to install the fglrx
proprietary driver in the Hardware Drivers window, it said that the
package was broken.
Contact me if you need more information.
