If I login using the default Unity (3D) shell, I can use the dashboard
for a while but after a minute or two, the computer freezes. I have to
shut down and restart, nothing else works. Presumably, this is
associated with my Radeon Xpress 200M graphics card. Unity 2D also

/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/848280. I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 beta 1, all
updates installed.
