[Bug 438033] [NEW] system hangs after login with xserver-xorg-input-vmmouse installed

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-vmmouse
I am running karmic in KVM on a jaunty host. When I install xserver-
xorg-input-vmmouse 1:12.6.4-1ubuntu1, the system hangs after log in. I
can see the wallpaper and a cursor (which I can move), but nothing
happens. I can switch to other ttys.
