[Bug 501598] Re: [i945gm] kernel mode setting kms broken, no gdm, with intel on eeepc 1000h
> should my report marked as "fix commited" ?
No, there is no guarantee that what is currently in xorg-edgers will end
up in Lucid. Fix committed is for when the fix has been pushed into
ubuntu (into the proposed respository for stable releases, or into the
git repository from which the next update will be made).
The file Xorg.1.log that you provided tells me that xorg is being run
with the failsafe option. What probably happened is that something went
wrong (the real bug) and the it tried to fall back to the vesa driver
which fails (the secondary bug). The vesa crash is probably bug 401214.
I would like to see the log for the real problem, that triggers the
failsafe xserver to start.
