[Bug 109934] Re: Black and white S-video output only on PAL TVs with intel video driver
Hello,
it ist still interesting for me. PAL is still not working with karmic.
With XP all PAL-options are running!
xrandr --output "TV1" --set "mode" "PAL" results in this:
xrandr --output "TV1" --set "mode" --verbose
X Error of failed request: BadName (named color or font does not exist)
Major opcode of failed request: 149 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request: 11 (RRQueryOutputProperty)
Serial number of failed request: 25
Current serial number in output stream: 25
I have colour with the s-video-output with a tricky connector that
changes the signal in a compsite signal. The result is poor since it is
only a ntsc-sgnal. With XP the picture is much better with a PAL-signal.
The connector-pins for the compsite-signal doesn't work since I change
from 9.04 to 9.10!!
