[Bug 550405] [NEW] Flatscreen TV goes out of range after grub with integrated intel gfx and a Sony Bravia 32' Flatscreen TV connected via VGA cable.
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Ubuntu 10.04 w/integrated intel gfx and Sony Bravia 32' Flatscreen TV
connected via VGA cable.
TV goes out of sync after loading grub.
I Have followed directions from here with no luck:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/KernelModeSetting
I have tried disabling kms with grub by adding i915.modeset=0 with no luck.
Also tried suggestions and with "sudo -i" echo options i915 modeset=0 > /etc/modprobe.d/i915-kms.conf[/CODE] with no luck .
