lucid updated

till yesterday i've not had issues to boot without xorg.conf file. The
latest update-manager update seem to have changed the process: booting
today i'm first having lot of actifacts then freeze before gdm. Trying
recovery mode and test with all video mode on boot line always drop me
with the command line, startx fail and complaint about drm things and is
unable to use "nv" or "fbdev" or "vesa" (see xorg.0.log.old below)

i've removing/purging then reinstalling the packages, reconfigured them
, but no way.

But if xorg.conf is recreated (tweak of xorg.conf.failsafe), then lucid
boot as expected.
