[Bug 635457] [NEW] Synaptics touchpad doesn't work properly

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

Hi there,

I'm using ubuntu 10.10 beta version.

But unfortunately my Synaptics touchpad isn't working properly.

I'm using a HP dv3 4010sg laptop, where the touchpad keys are not
separated from the touchpad itself.

Here is some information from the Xorg.0.log regarding the touchpad:

The touchpad is working fine with windows 7

What is working:

-left klick
-scrolling vertically and horizontally

What isn't working

- using two fingers (pointer is jumping around in a funny way, but touchpad supports multitouch)
- right klick
- move data from one place to another by holding the left button.

I have attached the information files.

Please let me know, if you need any further information

Thanks a lot!

Jan
