Binary package hint: xorg

Sometimes, when i open gnome "applications" menu (especially when in  the sub menus there are a lot of icons) the menu takes some time to draw and if i don't wait the full draw the over impression of the menu remains even after i have closed the menu. 
It happens also with tooltips. The problem happen also with other applications 

I have attached a screenshot of the problem: as you can see the gnome
applications menu has left a square "hole" and it is over every windows
on the desktop.

The "hole" goes away if i close the application had made it or if i try
to force the redraw the application (like going again on the same sub
menus)
