Hmmm, i'm assuming that even tho your mboord doesn't have ide that your
power supply has a lead somewhere with the right kind of plug, if not
then you'll need to borrow an older machine (or just it's power supply)
or get an adapter for a sata-ide power plug. Just make sure the
'external drive' is powered before the bios boot. The drive does need a
fairly well smoothed 12Volt & 5Volt power supply so there are options.
