[Question #77658]: restoring sys files in UE 2.2 corrupted after hibinating.won, t boot!

UE v2.2 is an impressive operating sys.!
but after hibinating won,t reboot because sys. files are damaged!!
how can they be restored because there,s no built in recovery system?
this has happened twice now,first time in suspend mode when laptop battery went flat!!
fsch. reports corrupt files but does,nt do anything!!
annoying... 
Acer Aspire 3000 laptop,AMD Semptron 1.6g.750 meg ram.
