Re: [Question #57087]: My Back, forward, reload, and stop buttons are not working, they show up in grey. How can I make them work again?
Question #57087 on firefox-3.0 in ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.0/+question/57087
Thomas proposed the following answer:
Running firefox as superuser is not really the solution.
I encountered the same problem, it can be solved by moving ~/.mozilla to
~/.mozilla-backup. Then restart firefox. If that works (it should), copy
your bookmarks from the backup directory to the new .mozilla directory
and you should be good to go. If you don't know how to see your hidden
.mozilla dir, open up a terminal and type mv ~/.mozilla ~/.mozilla-
backup.
Good luck
