Re: Evolution backup sync

Why not use "Simple Backup" to archive whatever you want in your /home directory (including or only your .evolution folder) and then have it output the backup file to your UbuntuOne directory for upload to the server? Simple Backup creates a single directory with only a handful of files including a tar.gz with the backed-up files/directories. This would solve uploading complex directory structures to UbuntuOne.

for backup, especially with directories as complex as .evolution.

I had attempted to do something like what you're doing by syncing my
Tomboy notes up to UbuntuOne and that ended up a mess. It should be
awesome in the future though!

Hi,
I was wondering if I could backup evolution every time I close it. It
would be good because I experiment a lot with my computer and I wont
have to worry if evolution is backed up fully and synced with ubuntu
one. At the moment I cant find any plugin or setting in evolution to do
an auto backup but I can do it manually. I was just wondering if its
possible without having to write a plugin to do it.
