You could write a simple bash or python script that would copy
your .evolution folder over to your ubuntuone directory.
...However, in my humble opinion I would not (yet) ~rely~ on UbuntuOne
for backup, especially with directories as complex as .evolution.
I had attempted to do something like what you're doing by syncing my
Tomboy notes up to UbuntuOne and that ended up a mess. It should be
awesome in the future though!

Subject: [Ubuntuone-users] Evolution backup sync
Date: Tue, 22 Sep 2009 02:21:04 +0100
Hi,
I was wondering if I could backup evolution every time I close it. It
would be good because I experiment a lot with my computer and I wont
have to worry if evolution is backed up fully and synced with ubuntu
one. At the moment I cant find any plugin or setting in evolution to do
an auto backup but I can do it manually. I was just wondering if its
possible without having to write a plugin to do it.
Regards
Shane Fagan
