Message #02633
Persistent Apps
This is a possible solution to how to deal with persistent apps that we do
not want 'minimized' once the notification area is fully removed.
Let me direct everyone first here:
http://dev.chromium.org/chromium-os/user-experience/panels
Would a similar approach be feasible, perhaps on the right side of the
screen? Allowing apps to be completely hidden on non-action, small 'peaking'
window borders on mouse over, and bounce peak on new messages. This could be
a very helpful way to hide apps that need to be open in all workspaces, but
not take up room on the current taskbar design.
Thoughts?
