Yes - that`s right, but those users cannot use anything but a simple touch and unity is good enough for them the way it is now. BUT - most of Ubuntu users now, and in next few years are DESKTOP USERS and they use mouse. Unity must be easier to navigate for desktop users, because they used to navigate the quicker way.
This could be very quick and extremely easy way to perform everyday tasks.
I think it needs more serious look.Colored background is good to show that is active icon (mouse over or currently opened application).Other icons backgrounds should have the SAME color.Maybe when mouse is not over launcher, it could be dimmed or littlemore transparent.Agree.
