I think function key bindings should be application specific. It
isn't a nice area to play with, just look at the complete and utter
mess caused by grabbing the Alt key for the HUD. I have a feeling
that trying to harmonise F key use will cause more problems than it
solves.

so don't pick on the F12 key , for me that's a perfect shortcut,for
you it may not be.
Well , I don't like it , but I think you're right , they are already
used by apps (F-s), and it may cause a mess .
