My understanding is that such services do not work reliably. They
rely on such techniques as embedding links to hidden images that are
supposed to be accessed when the mail is opened. If, however, the
recipient has his mailer set so as to not open remote images then this
will not work.
Anyway this is nothing to do with Ubuntu, and for many goes against
the principles of Ubuntu. Most Ubuntu users do not want their privacy
invaded in such ways. I don't want anyone else knowing when, or
whether, I open an email.
It is certainly off topic for this list.
