Hello Katie,
Those pics from Alan actually made me think that some of the status
messages are not as usefull as I've thought. At least that usefull to me.
Why would I want to know how many pictures I took today? I want to know
what I missed without unlocking the screen.

Do you know how the circles will develop? Which data is used for the
indivdual welcome screen?
