Message #00040
[Bug 490023] [NEW] vm: 8bit characters are not escaped in In-reply-to field
Public bug reported:
When I reply to an email from someone with an 8-bit character in their name, such as
"=?iso-8859-1?Q?V=EDctor_Paesa?=" <xxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxx>
The In-reply-to field gets the un-escaped name:
In-Reply-To: message from Víctor Paesa on Sunday July 15
And a number of mail systems reject the email as 8bit characters in
headers are illegal.
