I just tried again today and am experiencing the same behavior (albeit with
a new splash screen).  It hangs after selecting the installation option.

I tried various boot options with no luck and then I thought maybe it was my
second monitor causing the issue.  So, I unplugged it and now I get
different behavior.  My monitor now shuts off after selecting the option to
Install.

It sounds like maybe one of these bugs:

I'm not sure how to proceed now other than try again with a new image later
in the week.  Should I report a failure for the installation test in the
meantime?
