Re: Note on optimized compilation / optimized coding / profiling results
Bruno, what do you use to measure time of execution? Small.xyz and
TriaxialTest or something else?
time ./yade-svn1258 -n -- -f /home/bruno/YADE/data/scene_test.xml -v 100
-p -m 40000
Where scene_test.xml is a 4000 particles triaxial test, with enabled
autoCompressionActivation, a low strain rate (strainRate="0.01"), and a
strict equilibrium criterion (StabilityCriterion="0.001"). Everything
else is default IIRC.
I send you that scene.xml.
"time" gives this sort of result :
real 13m10.555s
user 12m33.367s
sys 0m4.988s
You must consider "user" time, wich can differ a lot from "real" in case
you do something else during computation.
Bruno
Vaclav
