[Bug 419220] [NEW] debs should use update-alternatives to hide binary version numbers
Public bug reported:
Binary packages as well a their contents have version embedded in their
names, in order to be able to coexist peacefully. However, the packages
should make use of the update-alternatives debian feature so that typing
"yade", "yade-dbg" or "yade-multi" in terminal would invoke the
preferred (by default, the latest installed) version of yade. Typing
yade-0.20 is obnoxious.
** Affects: yade
