I doubt platform-dependence, although I am not knowledgeable enough to
exclude it either; it such a case, it would be a bug in
boost::serialization. That does not seem to be the case.

Let's keep in mind that the problem was present, I will try to reproduce
it in a chroot in a few weeks, when I have time.
