I tried a smaller time step and it seems that the problem is solved. 
But, what's causing the problem? Why this happens for this particular material or interaction?
The intercation geometry is ScGeom and not even ScGeom6D. 
Can I tackle the problem from the constitutive law? Smaller time steps is my last option, since I'm running dynamic simulations.
