Re: [Question #659557]: Flow engine working randomly with CHOLMOD

Question #659557 on Yade changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/659557

    Status: Open => Answered

Robert Caulk proposed the following answer:
Hey Luc,

>However, this version does not allow to run simulations with
DFNFlowEngine as it produces a segfault

Yes, the first DFNFlow code I encountered in Yade was 2017.10a. And it
segfaulted by default...this is the bug that I reported and fixed (?)
[1]. I would be curious to someday see Papachristos' DFNFlow code used
to publish [2]. I digress.

>CHOLMOD warning: matrix not positive definite
>something went wrong in Cholesky factorization, use LDLt as fallback this time1

Have you tried using a smaller timestep?

Best,

Robert
