Re: Announcing an installer for Zim on Windows

Hi, Brenden,

First, I have to thank you for your feat to make zim possible in
Windows. Though I'm using it under Linux environ, there's always the
necessity to bring my own zim notebook to travel. Since I'm also
translating Zim into traditional Chinese, the tolerance of character
encoding is always my primary concern.

After installing it into my other windows xp machine, I found that it
cannot read my Chinese notes previously done in Linux (English notes
work fine). It's not that it reads them into garbled characters, it
just doesn't show them at all.

I checked the installed files and have seen different language files
present (including my zh_TW.po), yet I cannot figure it out why the
program refuses to read Chinese notes and how the interface can be
displayed in Chinese.

Maybe there should be something more I have to do to make that happen
in Windows environ, yet that part is quite beyond me. Your kind help
will be much much appreciated.

best,
C. Y. Lee
