Blank lines are probably the same issue as in this bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/zim/pyzim/+bug/478564

Under what circumstance do you loose the indentation, which editing steps do
you take? And for which version of pyzim do you see this ?

This is what happens when zim doesn't recognize the bullet items as bullet
items anymore. Probably another symptom of the issue that makes zim forget
the indentation.


Another thing that called my attention is that while I am adding a new

This I do not see in the latest version of the branch, so consider it fixed
already.
