I agree that the basic problem here is: Zim parses wiki markup when it is
entered but does not show raw markup when you load the page from storage;
this can be surprising and sometimes inconvenient.

It is convenient for quick composition of non-computer-code rich text, that
Zim parses wiki markup as it is typed. But a rich text editor should be
capable of handling any pasted input without barfing it up in mangled form
later. If possible it should be added as a configuration option: escape all
typed/pasted wiki markup at the time of entry.

Does Zim support an escape character? ("\" = "interpret next character as a
literal") Or does the entire paragraph need to be made a verbatim block?
