It is easy to access evolution and Thunderbird activities. Its on the top of our list ATM. It is not in zeitgeist domain to merge contacts etc. We can just tell you how you use the contacts. So all I can offer is to map the contacts from zeitgeist to U1 or libfolks :)
Again I think this is currently the best approach.

Can't wait to see real Metacontacts populating your Journals then, thanks a lot again for this wonderful thread!
As i understand your last mail, you will map raw contact information from your UMA activity loggers to libfolks, right?
So it is up to libfolks to use that information, associating simple email addresses with metacontacts containing similar or equal addresses, so that Places > People will display nice names and a thumb in the end, instead of ukulutl23@xxxxxxxxx with no avatar.

Almost! Unity People will extract the contacts activities from zeitgeist and match these contacts with their representations in libfolks or U1.
So this is done on a Unity level. Making the hacking very simple

Let's hope somebody will help with the meta stuff, i think its great to display most recent and most frequent, its even better if they are displayed in a nice human readable fashion, i.e. in a meta fashion. Name-Surname-Thumb
We're all way too excited to see this happening :D

Yeah I am pretty excited about that too
