[Bug 921518] [NEW] network manager icon is refreshing all the time

Public bug reported:

The problem occurs with ubuntu 11.10 as well and I don't know about former versions.
The problem occurs with fedora 16 as well.
My network card has two ethernet connections with wired connection 1 and wired connection 2
I am using wired connection 2 only.

The applet connects and disconnects all the time with a notify-osd
notification which is very annoying because I have a notification every
2 minutes.
