Yep.

For me it would be even enough (if other devs will keep to insist on
having it in the repo) to have a new configure option, say
--disable-xorn, to avoid the dependency on Python.

I don't think it's fair to currently working developers to present them
with a fait accompli that the stuff they're working on will be thrown out
and replaced with something 'more perfect' that nobody uses yet.

As far as you anyways need to compile it yourself, I see no reason of
merging it into mainline yet.

I've planned to start next week (I'll be busy with unrelated things on
the weekend) after this issue will be solved and maybe I'll get
approval, advices and some other help I'll need of other devs.
